Bakauheni Harbour City

Description

Bakauheni Harbour City (BHC) is a National Strategic Project (PSN) located in Lampung Province, Indonesia. The project is owned and operated by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero), the largest ferry port and vessel owner and operator in Indonesia. The project aims to connect communities and markets through integrated RoPax ferry-port services and waterfront tourism destinations.

Future Development
BHC is strategically located between the two largest island economic corridors in Indonesia, Sumatera and Java. The development is divided into three phases, with the first phase (2022-2025) focusing on the development of the main support of port activities, such as theme park construction, hotels, manager offices, commercial, and tourism polytechnic. The second phase (2031-2040) will focus on the development of District 3 hotels and supported commercial areas, while the third phase (2041-2051) will focus on sustainability and diversification development. 

Potential Investment
The total investment for the project is approximately USD 311 million or IDR 4.7 trillion, and the project offers investment opportunities in various areas such as hotels, commercial and retail, hospitals, attractions, tourism schools, residential, and MICE. The project is a landmark of Lampung Province area as community activities, recreation area where people can go to enjoy games, rides, and other activities, bring the unique nature and environment conservation, commercial area with waterfront views and community activities, unique maritime life experiences and education, and tourism gateway to explore other small islands.
