Kemiling Agri Park Development Plan
Agripark Kemiling is one of the tourist destinations in Bandar Lampung City. This destination is themed as an "Educational Tourism Area and Integrated and Sustainable Development Generator." This aligns with the spatial planning goals of Bandar Lampung City for 2011-2030, which state that Bandar Lampung aims to be a safe, comfortable, and sustainable city of trade and services, while maintaining the preservation of its natural environment and functional harmony. To achieve this, continuous development of the area is being carried out through steps such as developing the Agripark area with educational and business value.
Agri Park Kemiling is located in Kemiling District, covering an area of approximately 7.5 hectares. Currently, Agri Park Kemiling serves as a nursery garden owned by the Family Welfare Movement Team (TP PKK) of Bandar Lampung City. The development of Agri Park Kemiling is intended to serve various functions, including:
a. Ecological Function: It will act as a site for carbon dioxide absorption, groundwater conservation, windbreaks, climate amelioration, and wildlife habitat.
b. Social and Educational Function: It will serve as a tourist destination aimed at reducing stress and increasing community productivity. Agri Park Kemiling will also provide urban comfort and serve as an educational center for agricultural knowledge and skills.
c. Economic Function: It will be a hub for the development of fruit commodities, agricultural crops, and livestock products, thereby generating better economic value.
d. City Identity: Agri Park Kemiling will become a city landmark, serving as an icon of beauty for Bandar Lampung City.
The location of Agri Park Kemiling is close to the city center, the airport, the terminal, and educational centers. The land status of Agri Park Kemiling is already clean and clear. Currently Bapperida Bandar Lampung City is preparing a continuation study of AgriPark Kemiling.
