Bakung Waste To Energy

Description
The Bakung Waste To Energy Project is an initiative project by the Bandar Lampung government aimed at managing waste in the Bakung landfill into Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) as an effort to utilize new renewable energy sources and support the implementation of technological innovation for sustainable urban development. The Bakung Waste To Energy Project is located in the Bakung landfill, Bandar Lampung, covering an area of 14.01 hectares with an Open Dumping system.

Potential Investment
The Bakung Waste To Energy Project has promising investment potential because since 2015, the amount of waste piles has reached 1,713,893 m3 with an average pile height of 12.2 m. Daily waste piles in the Bakung landfill in 2019 reached more than 1,000 tons/day and have exceeded the capacity of the Bakung landfill, which has been operating since 1995.

The Bakung Waste To Energy Investment Offer
1. Maximum 8 Ha land that investors can use.
2. The minimum amount of waste treated is 506,52 tons/day of new organic waste (excluding 1.7 million tons of old waste at the Bakung landfill site).
3. The results of processing waste are electricity with a minimum capacity of 9 MW with a medium voltage transmission system (20 kV).
4. Construction of Bakung power plant with a capacity of 11,0453 MW is required budget around 460,59 billion.

Future Development
The purpose of waste management in the Bakung landfill is to support sustainable development for Bandar Lampung, among others, through the utilization of waste in the Bakung landfill into Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF). The development of waste processing facilities into RDF is an effort to utilize new renewable energy sources and support the implementation of technological innovation for sustainable urban development.
