Angkasa Pura II Take Over Raden Inten II Airport

The management of Raden Inten II Airport was officially taken over by PT Angkasa Pura II on Saturday, 12 October 2019. It was marked by the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Transportation, Republic of Indonesia and PT Angkasa Pura II regarding the Cooperation in Utilizing State Property at Raden Inten II Airport Class I Airport Operational Unit. The signing of the collaboration was immediately witnessed by the Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi and the Governor of Lampung.

 

Currently, Airport Operational Unit (UPBU) Class I Radin Inten II Lampung Province is vertically still below the Ministry of Transportation. Previously, Lampung Governor Arinal Djunaidi said that Radin Inten Airport is heading for the international airport. The Government of Lampung Province is accelerating its steps towards realizing Radin Inten II Airport become international. He hopes that this week there will be a handover from the Directorate General of Finance Ministry of Finance the Republic of Indonesia and Ministry of Transportation the Republic of Indonesia to Angkasa Pura II. Then he said the realization of the International Airport would begin on October 30, 2019 in the context of Umrah implementation. It also acts as an international trial.

 

The Ministry of Transportation has issued Minister of Transportation Decree No. 166 of 2019 concerning the National Airport Order on 26 August 2019. Direct embarkation of Lampung-Saudi Arabia will divert the cost of Umrah travel to be cheaper. Based on the Radin Inten II Airport Flight Unit (UPBU) Lampung, every year as many as 16 thousand Umrah pilgrims depart from Lampung. With the direct transfer of Umrah and Hajj, will convince the international so that Lampung can support the international flight.
