MoU Signed, PLTSa Will Be Built on 20 Hectares Land

The plan to construct a Waste Power Plant (PLTSa) was officially realized by Lampung Governor Arinal Djunaidi through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PT Zhongde Waste Technology Indonesia on Wednesday (16/10) at Rumah Makan Kayu, Bandar Lampung. The signing of the MoU containing the Investment Agreement on the Construction of Regional Waste Management Installation into Electric Energy (PSEL / PLTSa) Based on Environmentally Friendly Technology was carried out with the President Director of PT Zhongde Waste Technology Indonesia Ali Husein and witnessed by the Secretary of the Committee for the Acceleration of Priority Infrastructure Provision (KPPIP) Economy, Bastary Pandji Indra.

According to the Governor of Lampung, this PLTSa is needed with the aim of improving waste management, so as to improve public health and environmental quality. PLTSa is also able to reduce the volume of waste significantly for the cleanliness and beauty of the city. Furthermore also to make waste as a resource can be realized. In addition, Arinal also hopes that the Coordinating Ministry of Maritime Affairs will encourage the allocation of Waste Processing Costs (BLPS) and Obtain an Electricity Purchase Agreement (PPA) in accordance with Presidential Regulation No. 35 of 2018 concerning the Acceleration of the Development of Waste Processing Installations into Electric Energy Based on Environmental Friendly Technologies. The Lampung Regional PLTSa will be built in the area of ​​Gedung Wani, Kota Baru, South Lampung Regency, on an area of ​​20 hectares.
