Launching of Umroh Perdana Lampung - Jeddah, dispatched 174 Pilgrims

Lampung Governor Arinal Djunaidi launched the first direct Umrah Pilgrims of Lampung - Jeddah, at Raden Inten II Airport, South Lampung, Wednesday (11/27) marked by the release of 174 Umrah pilgrims. The launching event was carried out with symbolic filtering of the 5 (five) Umrah pilgrims by the governor. This launch is a form of Governor Arinal's commitment in realizing the International Airport and the Full Hajj Embarkation in 2020. "I am very proud and touched, because in 2011-2012 I also initiated to become Hajj Embarkation. And today 9.7 million inhabitants of Lampung can depart Umrah directly from Lampung to Jeddah," said Arinal.

On behalf of the Provincial Government of Lampung, Arinal also expressed his gratitude to the Minister of Religion for the convenience provided in relation to the pilgrimage directly from Lampung to Jeddah. This direct pilgrimage will make time and money efficient. Arinal hopes that the government and community can provide this Umrah information to the closest people and the surrounding community. To the pilgrims, Governor Arinal hoped to be given health and fluency in worship. In addition, with the achievement of the first Umrah of Lampung - Jeddah, Arinal also asked for prayers from pilgrims so that in the future it could realize the implementation of Hajj directly from Lampung - Jeddah.

The Chairperson of Lampung Province DPRD, Mingrum Gumay, explained that his party continued to encourage various aspects of development in Lampung, including Muslim worship such as Umrah which could be carried out as planned. On the same occasion, Head of UPBU Class I Office Raden Intan II Asep Kosasih revealed that Umrah directly from Lampung to Jeddah was the initiation and breakthrough of the Governor of Lampung. Given the great interest of the community related to Umrah, he explained, then the Umrah flight schedule in the future will continue. And with the existence of the Umrah Lampung - Jeddah it is expected that the full Hajj Embarkation of 2020 can be realized immediately.
